Job description:

We are looking for a designer who creates compelling, original designs for interactive platforms, ranging from websites to software applications. The interactive designer shall translate business requirements, user needs, and technical capabilities into designs that are visually exciting, easy to use, and emotionally engaging. Attention to detail and ability to uphold and deliver work at the highest quality standard is expected, while passion for design in all media is essential. Working experience in a team is essential as well as the ability to take responsibility for work and come up with new ideas.

Responsibilities:

You will generally plan and design websites and graphical-user-interfaces with the team and generate specifications for the technical developers. As such, you'll know all about turning rudimentary briefs into creative solutions suitable for complex business requirements. You will also be supporting developers during the implementation of designs and advise them on the requested layout.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in graphics design, interaction design, fine arts, or an equivalent technical training and professional work experience.
• At least three years of user interface design experience.
• Strong and flexible skills in visual design and interaction design.
• Knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
• Experience designing motion graphics with tools such as Flash or Adobe After Effects.
• Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML, Ajax, JavaScript, Flash, Flex and CSS.
• A passion for creating designs that resonate on an emotional level.
• Language requirements: English: intermediate, German: fluent
• An excellent understanding of web and GUI usability and accessibility is desired.
